Cesar Galvan
Cesar has a 12 year working background in Agriculture & Livestock. Cesar was baptized in 1981 not too long after a friend invited him to church. In 1982 Cesar & Delores were married. Cesar assisted the preacher in teaching the Bible to others. The preacher became sick and was no longer able to preach in San Fernando, Tamaulipas so Cesar resumed his duties.
Becuase of Cesar's desire to teach others about Jesus, in 2003 Cesar began attending Monterery School of Preaching. In 2004, while still in preaching school, he started evangelizing in Allenede. His wife helped support them by making bread. Cesar & Delores have three sons and six grandchildren. The whole family is active in the growth of the church in Allende.
Latin America
Javier Leon
Javier was born in Mexico City and now lives in Mansfield, Texas, with his wife, Karla.
He is the founder of Avanza Líder, a ministry that develops Spanish-language videos to train and equip new Christians in Spanish-speaking countries.
In addition, Javier is passionate about strengthening the church across Latin America by developing biblical leadership that is relevant for today. He provides training, coaching, mentoring, and conflict resolution to help leaders grow and serve effectively.
Zagreb, Croatia
Steve Taliaferro
Our church provides monthly support to Steve, who serves in the dynamic and diverse city of Zagreb, Croatia. Through his ministry, he reaches children, youth, and adults, sharing the grace and love of Jesus.
St. Petersburg, Russia
Igor Egirev
Our church provides monthly support to Igor, who serves as the Director of the Institute of Theology and Christian Ministry in St. Petersburg, Russia. Through his leadership, he helps equip and train individuals for effective Christian service and ministry.
Zambia, Africa
Namwianga Mission
Our church supports a variety of needs in Zambia, Africa. This includes providing assistance for two students attending George Benson College, supporting orphan care efforts, and helping meet other general needs as they arise.
In addition, once each year we take up a special contribution for the Zambia Baby Milk Fund, helping provide essential nutrition for infants in need.
Eastern European Missions
Eastern European Mission (EEM) supplies Bibles and Bible-based materials to individuals and families, as well as to children in youth camps, refugees, mission churches, public universities, schools, libraries, prisons, hospitals, orphanages, and many other places where God’s Word is needed.
The Salado Church of Christ has been a longtime supporter of this important work. Each year, our church participates through a special contribution day and by taking part in a fundraiser dinner to help further EEM’s mission.
